About Us
As you may not be aware, we have become a new organization, independent from the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, with which we had been affiliated since 1983. Therefore, we are no longer restrained from acting for the betterment of our member's interests, and can now pursue the problems that exist here in the port, and can now represent members who service this port from outside New Jersey.
Our name is new, but the Officers and Board Members, in most cases, are still the same, so there had been no adverse impact from a "change in management."
That means that we are very familiar with the problems here in the port, and are determined to seek solutions. As you know, we have been your loyal advocates in the port of New York-New Jersey for several years, and many of the Intermodal service improvements in the region are directly attributable to our core group. We want this kind of support to continue and to expand. There in strength in numbers and your membership will, indeed, help to make a stronger voice for your interests.
We will continue to make a difference: maintaining our focus on improving the public perception and status of our industry and achieving our goal of making the NY/NY ports more user-friendly, productive and competitive.
